1. Where is Westerdale Community Hall located?

Westerdale Community Hall is located in Mountain View County, Alberta, conveniently situated between Olds and Sundre. The hall's serene, natural setting makes it the perfect venue for events of all types.

 

2. How do I book the hall?

You can book the hall directly through our website. Visit the Book Online page to check availability, review pricing, and complete your reservation. Don’t forget to download and complete the Rental Contract before collecting your key.

 

3. What amenities are available at the hall?

The hall features:

  • A rustic indoor space with a raised stage.

  • A fully equipped kitchen with large refrigerators.

  • Ample free parking and fully accessible facilities.

  • Outdoor amenities like a ball diamond, playground, and horseshoe pits.

  • Space for camping, ideal for weekend events.

 

4. What is the hall's capacity?

The hall comfortably accommodates up to 200 people indoors. Larger groups can utilize the outdoor space for additional seating or activities.

 

5. Are tables and chairs included in the rental?

Yes, tables and chairs are included with your rental. Please let us know if you need specific arrangements or assistance with setup.

 

6. Is the hall accessible?

Yes, Westerdale Community Hall is fully accessible, with convenient parking and facilities designed for guests with mobility needs.

 

7. Can I rent the ball diamond separately?

Yes, the ball diamond can be rented separately if hall and grounds are not already rented. Costs are:

  • $20/game for youth teams

  • $30/game for adult teams

  • Full Day: $125

  • Weekend: $250 (only if the Hall & Grounds are not already reserved).

 

8. Are there cleaning requirements after my event?

Yes, renters are responsible for cleaning the hall after their event. We provide a Checklist to guide you through the process. Please ensure the space is left in the same condition as it was when you arrived. A representative will check you in and out.

 

9. What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

Cancellations are subject to our rental policy. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options.

 

10. Can I host an outdoor wedding or family reunion here?

Absolutely! Our hall and grounds are perfect for outdoor events like weddings, family reunions, and large gatherings. The natural setting and ample space make it a great choice for your special day.

 

11. Is alcohol allowed on the premises?

Yes, but all events serving alcohol must adhere to Alberta’s liquor laws. It is the renter’s responsibility to obtain any necessary permits or licenses.
